Dynamic Simulation
Dynamic simulation is a method of simulating the performance of a system, such as a wheeled vehicle, through the environment in which it will be required to perform.

GSE offers the following design and analysis services:
CAD Modeling
Finite Element Analysis
Dynamic Simulation
Reverse Engineering
The simulation model includes the terrain, the individual components, the mechanical joints, and the compliant materials like tires and bushings. The model is built with the properties of each component and the degrees of freedom of each connection. The vehicle is simulated to travel over the ground surface, while the computer tracks component loads and possibly areas in which components interfere with the other’s space. The intent is to simulate the real vehicle to find the areas of improvement, at a faster rate and much more cost effective than actual vehicle testing.
GSE’s simulation team works simultaneously with vehicle development teams to simulate iterations of components, system designs, and terrains at a competitive price and aligned with their product development schedule.
