Complete NVH Testing and Analysis
Our experienced team of engineers and technicians deliver solutions using our advanced testing facilities and CAE Software for dynamic analysis. GS Engineering also delivers complete solutions to military and commercial vehicle manufacturers for acoustic signature management.

Internal Noise Control
Crew compartments can be improved through source noise reduction and improved acoustic treatment of surfaces. By reducing sound pressure levels for vehicle crewmembers, we improve human effectiveness and reduce fatigue. GS Engineering can test and characterize the sound levels throughout vehicle cabins and other work spaces. Using on-site or off-site test facilities, these tests can be performed in fully operating vehicles on controlled but realistic track facilities to account for all factors, such as engine load, on-board equipment, and drivetrain sources. With GS Engineering’s experience in multiple facets of vehicle testing, our NVH testing is carried out with extreme attention to detail and a complete understanding of overall vehicle dynamics.

WBV Solutions
Whole Body Vibration (WBV) is managed through our combined field testing , data analysis and analytical solutions for ISO 2631 or Pradko & Lee absorbed power (6 Watt Ride) and vibration dose value (VDV). With modeling  & simulation or field testing capabilities, we establish baseline vibration and frequency response, followed by design and analysis focused on improving ride quality by reducing  vibration dosage to vehicle occupants.  Secondary lab testing or analysis is then utilized to evaluate design changes that eliminate/attenuate the source or dampen/attenuate along propagation pathways. Because GS Engineering also provides mechanical design, FEA and dynamic vehicle simulation, our proposed changes in structural stiffness or suspension characteristics can often lead to additional benefits, such as improved vehicle performance and durability. Trade studies can be performed for a range of possible solutions to obtain optimal results across multiple key parameters.

An Experienced NVH Test Team Working with You
Our team of engineers and technicians is recognized for comprehensive solutions provided within short timescales and within budget.  We work as an extension of our customers’ internal engineering teams, augmenting internal expertise to fill gaps in resources or to complete large projects quickly. By leveraging our efficient workflows and field knowledge, customers gain rapid evaluation of design changes to reduce internal noise, comprehensive assessment of excitation sources and pathways, or establish isolation systems for on-board equipment.
