About GS Engineering
GS Engineering provides complete design of lightweight structures for military and commercial vehicles. We develop the components, then build and field test prototypes to validate the design.
GS Engineering has received a number of recognition awards from Michigan's Governor Jennifer Granholm, including:
• GS Engineering was selected as the Michigan High-Tech Small Business of the Year by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation in 2003.
• Michigan Cool Company in 2004.
• Michigan 50 Company in 2005, highlighting the 50 Companies to Watch.
• Michigan's 2010 Government Contractor of the Year.
In addition, GS Engineering was named the Business of the Year for 2007 by the Keweenaw Economic Development Alliance (KEDA). KEDA represents hundreds of businesses in the three county area surrounding GS Engineering.
In March 2008, GS Engineering moved into a newly constructed facility in Houghton that combines office space, a ceramic processing lab, material testing, electrical lab, and a high bay area for vehicle development projects.

HOUGHTON- Building on over 10 years of industry experience, it was announced today that GS Engineering Inc. was awarded a multi-year program by the Department of the Navy - Office of Naval Research, in support of the Marine Corps to further develop Mine Roller Technology under the Rapid Innovation Funding Program (RIF).
