Meet James
Program Manager
James joined GS Engineering in 2025 after over a decade of serving the Department of the Army as both an active-duty Army officer and Department of the Army Civilian. Based in Metro Detroit, James’ current role as a program manager focuses on support to Army ground vehicle programs, Detroit Arsenal stakeholders, and efforts that support our warfighters.
James served in the Army as a Military Intelligence officer in diverse leadership and staff roles at every echelon from platoon to division, including a deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. He served in all types of brigade combat teams: armored, Stryker, and infantry, providing a wealth of knowledge and experience in ground vehicle platform employment, integration, and end-user value.
In his role as an Army Civilian, James later served as the Intelligence Team Lead and Lead Program Integrator for the Next Generation Combat Vehicles Cross-Functional Team (NGCV CFT). There, he played a key role in ensuring that priority ground combat vehicle capabilities and materiel solutions were threat-informed and strategically integrated across the DOTMLPF-P (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy) domains.
James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from North Carolina State University. He leverages his unique experience and perspective to ensure that the solutions GS Engineering provides are well-integrated and valuable to the warfighter.
