GS Engineering Inc., a leading provider of engineering services to the aerospace and defense industrial markets, today announced the official receipt of the certificates of registration for AS9100C and ISO 9001:2008 following an audit at its Houghton Michigan facility by NSF International Strategic Registrations (NSF). The Certification of Registration that GS Engineering’s Quality Management System conforms to is the AS9104/1:2012 requirements for Aviation, Space and Defense Quality Management System Certification Program as well as ISO 9001:2008 requirements. In addition, several GS Engineering employees also received certificates following their training as Nuclear Quality Auditors (NQA‐1).
This registration is one of many successful steps as GS Engineering continues to evolve as a HUBZone Small Business and further develops a highly skilled workforce to support a variety of customer needs. Lynn Eliason, Director of Operations for GS Engineering, was quoted saying “ For GS Engineering to achieve AS9100C registration in such a short period of time demonstrates the policies and procedures that GS Engineering operates to on a daily basis are founded on successful business practices. This registration will further develop our ability to manufacture the products we design in support of our growing customer base.” Ms. Eliason continued on discussing how the growth in GS Engineering’s products diversifies revenue and promotes stability for the company in Houghton.
